I have experienced multiple reorganizations throughout my career. In most cases, when senior leadership changes, the first action taken is a reorganization. I have come to assume that this is often tied to an arbitrary milestone— demonstrating accomplishment from the first 100 days. However, However, I have yet to encounter a reorganization that truly satisfies employees (or perhaps it is never possible to satisfy all employees).

Today, I found myself reflecting on what constitutes a successful formula for organizational structure and leadership. I have two examples— one positive and one negative- that offer insight into this question. Below are my thoughts my thought.
